Here are some helpful tips to help you enjoy better sleep from night one:
Your new mattress needs time to break in
Every Saatva 12” Special Edition Hybrid Mattress arrives at your room factory fresh. That means the high-quality materials may need a little bit of time to settle. You should notice your new mattress break in after a few days. You may even notice continued improvement for up to a month.
Your body may need time to adjust
If you’ve been sleeping on an old mattress for any period of time, your body likely got used to it. Think about how it feels to stand up straight after being hunched over for a long time. That’s similar to what happens when you switch from an old, unsupportive mattress to a new one.
Also note that there might be slight body impressions on the surface of your new mattress as it acclimates to your body shape and sleep positions. We recommend rotating your new mattress after the first six months, then once a year thereafter, to help extend its lifespan by evenly distributing wear and pressure over time.
Minor tailoring imperfections are completely normal
While all Saatva 12” Special Edition Hybrid Mattresses are meticulously crafted, slight tailoring imperfections might be present. We can assure you that each mattress goes through a strict quality assurance process and these slight imperfections do not affect the quality, comfort, and longevity of your new Saatva 12” Special Edition Hybrid. Carefully trim any excess threading with scissors and you’re good to go.
Limited Warranty
Remember to keep your sales receipt as proof of purchase and DO NOT REMOVE THE LAW TAG from your mattress. Your receipt will serve as a means of establishing your warranty rights. This warranty is not transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. In the event your mattress is deemed defective, the warranty will not be renewed or extended after repair or replacement of the original. In the unlikely event that you ever have a problem with your mattress, please refer to the contact information on your purchase receipt to file a claim. You must provide proof of purchase and photographs of the defect and law tag. Saatva reserves the right to inspect the mattress or require additional documentation before approving any warranty claim. Failure to cooperate with reasonable inspection requests may result in denial of the claim.
Warranty Coverage
Your Saatva 12” Special Edition Hybrid Mattress is covered by a 10-year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, under normal residential care and use. If your mattress is deemed defective under this warranty, Saatva will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the defective mattress. You may be responsible for a processing fee as determined by Saatva. Any replacement mattress will be of equal or comparable value and quality, as determined by Saatva in its sole discretion. If your mattress model has been discontinued, Saatva will replace it with a current model of equal or comparable value, as determined by Saatva in its sole discretion. The remedies set forth in this warranty are your sole and exclusive remedies for any defect covered by this warranty.
This warranty, and its terms, is valid only within the continental United States. Warranty claims, including replacements, repairs, or any other warranty service, are available only within the continental U.S. at the time of the claim.
EXCLUSIONS
This warranty does NOT cover:
- Comfort preference or changes in comfort feel
- Normal wear and tear, including cover pilling
- Normal settling or compression of comfort layers
Upholstery compression of 1.5 inches or less is normal and not considered sagging.
Sagging is defined as a depression greater than 1.5 inches.
- A normal and expected increase in foam softness that does not affect pressure relief
- Damage to handles (handles are for positioning only, not lifting)
This warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Improper bed frames, foundations, or adjustable bases
- Environmental causes, including but not limited to extreme temperatures, humidity, moisture, or exposure to sunlight
- Damage caused by bed bugs, insects, or other pests
- Odors, mildew, or mold occurring after use
- Misuse, neglect, accidents, or use contrary to instructions
- Physical abuse or damage, including burns, cuts, tears, stains, or liquid damage
- Events beyond the reasonable control of Saatva
USAGE & SUPPORT REQUIREMENTS
- Use a new or supportive, rigid, non-yielding foundation
- Metal frames (Full size or larger) must include rigid center support with floor-touching legs
- Platform beds:
- Slats less than 2” apart must include center support with at least one leg to the floor
- Slats more than 2” apart require a solid rigid surface plus center support
- When using a foundation (“box spring”), it must be properly certified for use with the mattress
Note From The Manufacturer:
Mattresses conform to the Federal Flammability Standard known as 16 CFR Part 1633. Every FR Mattress is certified to be sold alone. Please note: a FR Certified mattress may NOT be sold with a box spring or foundation that was not tested and certified for use under that particular mattress.
